Wellpreneur Marketing Tip #3 – Be a leader in your niche

If your niche is not clear or not defined, your whole business will be shaky, and everything becomes more difficult. In today’s video, I am going to talk about a topic that is influencing the success of your business more than any other factor. It is about the importance of defining your niche or target audience and at the end, I’ll share an easy way to approach this topic.

And by the way, if you don’t have your niche really nailed, you’re not alone. This is a challenge all wellpreneurs face at one stage and the majority never really gets it right. Not that it is so difficult, but in my experience, they simply do not put enough focus into this topic. So yeah, that’s one to avoid.

For starters, what is a niche? A niche is your target audience, and the people you want to reach and work with. Another definition could also be that a niche is your role in the marketplace.

So, why is having a defined niche so important? When I started as a practitioner, I was convinced that I could help most people with my services. However, I was so disappointed initially when I didn’t get enough clients through the door. First, I thought I would need more modalities and far more training. So I did that. But still, I continued struggling with getting more new clients. So, this went on for a while until I realized that I needed to work far more on the marketing side of the business, and learn how to attract more clients.

And with all the marketing training I took at that time, and all the coaches and mentors I talked to, I was always pointed to the same topic: You need to define your niche. So, I did that! I defined my niche and I can tell you, everything got so much easier from then on.

As I was able to put my whole attention into one target audience, I started to understand better not only their symptoms, but also their needs, worries and frustrations. It was a great feeling being connected with the right audience. And it helped me in a big way to craft better and intimate marketing messages and also to position myself in a different way.

And I think this is very important here. Instead of being one naturopath among thousands, I was suddenly able to differentiate myself and establish myself as an authority in my chosen niche. This alone had a massive impact on my success and allowed me to attract new clients faster than ever before.
